Paddling with Purpose: The Great Glen Canoe Challenge ✨

Next week, I’ll be setting off on an unforgettable adventure along Scotland’s breathtaking Great Glen Canoe Trail — 60 miles of Lochs, rivers, and the legendary Caledonian Canal. But this isn’t just about the challenge of crossing open water or the beauty of the Highlands (though there’ll be plenty of that too). This journey is about raising awareness and vital funds for @womens_aid — a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.

Women’s Aid does life-saving work supporting women and children escaping domestic abuse. Every donation helps provide refuge, emotional support, legal advocacy, and the resources needed to help survivors rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

This trip won’t be easy. It’s a multi-day expedition through unpredictable weather, wild camping along the way, and long days on the water. But every stroke will be powered by purpose — by the belief that everyone deserves to live free from fear and violence 🫶🏻

Time to be honest 🫶🏻

Hey friends – I know it’s been a while. If you’ve been following me for a bit, you’ve probably noticed that I haven’t been super active on socials for the past 6+ months, and I wanted to finally share why.

I was recently really moved by @thetacticalunicorn’s video ‘Can I make it in New York City?’ (seriously, go watch it if you haven’t already – Leah absolutely nails it). It made me reflect a lot, and honestly gave me the push I needed to open up.

Back in March 2023, while I was attending IWA Outdoor Classics, I suffered a life-changing back injury. It completely flipped my daily life upside down – from dealing with constant, unrelenting pain, to suddenly not being able to do the physical activities I used to love. Even simple things became difficult.

One of the harder things to talk about is the weight gain that came with it. Not only was I already trying to adjust to this new version of my body, but being online and visible meant I became a target for body shaming. And let me tell you, that stuff hurts. It chipped away at my confidence and made showing up online feel more like a burden than a joy.

On top of that, there were work-related challenges – not being paid on time (or at all, in some cases) left me feeling undervalued and exhausted. It all piled up and, honestly? I burned out. I was a sad queen, trying to smile through it, but it wasn’t sustainable.

Taking a step back was the best decision I could have made. I needed that space – to heal, to recalibrate, and to reconnect with who I am outside of the noise. And now, slowly but surely, I’m finding my way back to the hobby and the community that I truly love.

What a year 🥹

2024 marked 10 years of Femme Fatale and honestly I couldn’t of asked for a better year to see in my first decade in airsoft.

Highlights for this year include:
